Terms of Service

Last updated May 28, 2026

These terms describe the basic rules for using Poddy to create private podcast episodes from your sources.

Using Poddy

Poddy lets you create private podcast episodes from URLs, documents, and other source material you provide. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.

You are solely responsible for the source material you submit, the generated podcasts you create, and how you use, publish, distribute, or share the output.

You may use Poddy only for lawful purposes. You must not use Poddy to create, process, transform, distribute, or assist with illegal content or illegal activity.

Credits and payments

Poddy uses generation credits. One generated episode uses one credit, including summary mode where multiple URLs create one episode per source.

Credits are generally consumed when generation starts. If a generation fails due to a service or processing error, Poddy may automatically refund the reserved credit.

Paid checkout is processed by Stripe. Prices, packages, and availability may change over time. Unless required by law, completed credit purchases are non-refundable once credits are used.

Your content

You keep ownership of the source material you submit, subject to any rights held by others. By submitting material, you give Poddy permission to process, store, transform, and transmit it as needed to provide the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the material and generate audio from it.

Do not submit material that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, contains malicious code, violates privacy or confidentiality, promotes illegal conduct, or violates platform rules.

Poddy does not endorse, approve, or assume responsibility for user-submitted content or generated output created from that content.

Generated output

Generated scripts, summaries, and audio may contain mistakes, omissions, or phrasing that does not reflect the original source perfectly.

Poddy is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, financial, or academic advice. Review generated output before relying on it or sharing it.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of generated output complies with applicable laws, third-party rights, platform rules, and any duties you owe to other people or organizations.

Poddy is not responsible for misuse of generated output, including unlawful publication, infringement, harassment, defamation, privacy violations, confidentiality breaches, or other harmful use by a user or anyone who receives content from a user.

Private podcast feeds

Poddy may provide a private RSS feed for your generated episodes. Feed URLs are tokenized, but anyone with the URL may be able to access the feed.

You are responsible for where you subscribe to or share your private feed. Third-party podcast apps may store, cache, or display your feed according to their own terms.

Acceptable use

You must not use Poddy to break the law, facilitate illegal activity, harass others, generate or distribute unlawful content, infringe intellectual property, violate privacy or confidentiality, impersonate others, create deceptive content without appropriate disclosure, bypass access controls, overload the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or interfere with other users.

You must not use Poddy to create content involving child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, credible threats, instructions for violent wrongdoing, malicious code, fraud, scams, or other unlawful or seriously harmful conduct.

We may remove content, refuse generation, limit usage, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve records, or report activity when we believe the service is being misused, these terms are being violated, or legal or safety obligations require it.

User responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for claims, losses, damages, liabilities, penalties, costs, and expenses that arise from your source material, generated output, misuse of Poddy, violation of these terms, violation of law, or violation of someone else's rights.

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Poddy harmless from claims arising from your content, your generated podcasts, your use or misuse of the service, or your breach of these terms.

Availability

Poddy is provided on an as-available basis. Generation speed and availability may depend on queues, third-party providers, storage, AI services, and network conditions.

We may update, pause, remove, or change features as the product evolves.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Poddy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost content, or service interruption.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Poddy is not liable for illegal, harmful, infringing, or unauthorized acts by users or third parties who use, access, publish, distribute, or rely on generated content.

Poddy's total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to Poddy in the three months before the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
